"Alex et Zoe" is easy to use and has a good selection of materials. Consequently, it has become a popular method of teaching French at Primary level.

It has been designed for 7 - 10 year olds, comes in 3 levels, with each level providing 50 - 80 hours of French.

Bright cartoon stories form the basis of the wide range of dialogues, activities and games. The pupil's book is clearly laid out, with the emphasis on visual stimuli; only words and phrases to be learnt are included in written form.

The activities on the accompanying CDs are all based on the pictures in the pupil's book (pick out the characters or objects mentioned, listen and repeat or answer the questions). There are also songs for the class to sing along to and join in with the actions.

Additional exercises to reinforce the vocabulary appear in the "cahier d'activités" and further information on all the exercises is contained in the "guide pédagogique".
