This book offers a journey of discovery into aspects of French and Francophone culture and civilisation. Two teenagers, Camille and Thomas, accompany the students throughout the book, and share their knowledge in the thematic units: "de la métropole au village, de la montagne à la mer, de la campagne à l'océan, de la ville au lac et du fleuve à l'île".

The book offers a range of varied activities, and ends with a cartoon timeline of French history, maps, a list of figures of speech, and a glossary (in French, English, Italian, German and Spanish).

The CD contains recordings of the oral texts (a mixture of dialogues, telephone conversations, interviews, tales and legends). A separate answer booklet is also available.
