Tamtam

Authors: Josef Alberti Siegfried Büttner Gabriele Kopp
From the introductory "getting to know you" game, activities, rhymes and songs introduce young learners to German gradually and build into a collection of relevant phrases and sentences which they can actively use.
The emphasis of the course is on spoken language; when reading and writing are introduced each new word and spelling is linked to a word pupils know from their spoken German so that they only read and write words which are already familiar to them.
The 24 chapters in the pupil's book are short but include some basic cultural information alongside the language work. The "Lehrerhinweise" offers advice on using the course and photocopiable pages of flashcards.
